Angel Thompson is an Atlanta-born photographer and multimedia artist based in the Greater Hartford Area. For the past 12 years he has been experimenting with a countless number of art concentrations including performing arts, fine art, visual arts, and artivism. Which serves as a catalyst for his foundation. Inspired by the work of German photographer Peter Lindbergh, his portrait photography questions the fine balance between bold and beautiful, often creating meaningful work with several layers of understanding. His work seeks not to achieve perfection but to enhance the authenticity of his subjects. At Watkinson school, Thompson is an engaged member of the community, participating in an array of clubs, organizations and sports teams. He is also enrolled in the creative arts dual-diploma program, where in the spring of 2021 he will graduate with two diplomas. In his senior year he has developed an independent study that consists of art history, photojournalism, lighting techniques, and design/visual communications in an effort to challenge his creative potential.
